Originally from Cork in the South of Ireland, Paddy Connolly studied physiotherapy at St. George’s University of London, graduating in 2012. He then worked at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospitals, spending over a year in orthopaedics before becoming a Specialist musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. Throughout this time, he paired his NHS role with work at several different sports teams such as Crystal Palace FC and Harlequins Rugby League, before becoming Head Physiotherapist at London Skolars, a semi-professional rugby league club.
At the end of 2015, he became Head of Academy and First Team Physiotherapist at London Broncos, a full-time professional rugby league team. There, he treats and manages elite athletes daily, who represent countries such as England, Wales, Scotland and France.
Paddy has a strong passion for all sporting conditions, having worked with a range of different sports. However he has a special interest in knee injuries both sporting and post-operative, particularly anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Having treated and managed those ranging from ‘weekend warriors’ to professional players, he understands the need for a tailored approach for each individual.
In his spare time, Paddy enjoys both rugby codes, football and skiing.
